Officially, it is spring here, or PRIMAVERA, and flowers are starting sprout, and people are working in their yards more, and are doing more building projects on their tiny lots. But blossoming, yard work and construction have to hold off a bit, while the rainy season claims its time. We watch the sky closely, and plan our walks carefully between downpours--usually, we are lucky; sometimes, though, we get drenched! Lightning & thunder are great!
To the left is Yellow Ball Tree (don't know its name)--picture taken just before a storm, when all the leaves were blown off. The flowers below include spirea (bridal bouquet), amarylis, bird of paradise, cala lily (called "Cup of Milk" here, or Copo de Leite), and others.
