Elder Rodriguez from Lima, Peru, has joined our motley crew. When this picture was taken, he had just come from the "CTM" (MTC in Sao Paolo, Brazil), and had been in the mission field one day! He and his younger sister left on their missions together. She is also serving in Brazil. He was so scared, and is just learning Portuguese, like me--but I have to admit that he is relaxing more now, and already is better than I am at speaking the language. His companion and our district leader Elder Christensen (on the right) is from Parker, Colorado. On the left Elder Esty from New York serves with his new senior companion Elder Cortez from Livermore, California. We lost Elder Arizola, also from Peru, which was transferred to another city in the Curitiba Mission.
Do you notice the little sticky tabs to the side of our Capt. Moroni banner? They are some of the little miracles, or "Tender Mercies" that have made our mission even more meaningful.
